Hi, I’m Nic. I run Smart Sweep chimney sweeping services, based in Thorpe St. Andrew, Norwich. I offer a friendly, professional and clean chimney sweeping service.
I’m a certified member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, Hetas approved and fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Why Chimney Sweeping?
I grew up with an open fire in my parent’s house so I’ve always had an appreciation of the benefits an open fire or wood burner can provide. Our fireplace was the centre of the home, bringing together family and pets alike.
When renovating my 1930’s bungalow, I was eager to ensure I had a wood-burner to keep our living room warm on those cold winter evenings. I was fascinated watching the installation process and almost immediately wanted to learn more about solid fuel burning appliances and how to maintain them.
I discovered a fantastic community in the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, who I went on to train with. The Guild provided me with a high standard of training and valuable onsite experience working under highly experienced master sweeps. After rigorous assessment, I’m proud to say I’m now part of this internationally recognised association, who are consistently ensuring that sweeping standards are raised for both sweeps and customers.
I pride myself on being very thorough with every sweeping job and making sure my customers are left with a chimney that’s safe to use. My customers' feedback is incredibly important.

Nic came round today as arranged to sweep our log burner flue. He was very polite and professional. Extremely tidy. He fully explained the process to my wife and made her feel at ease. At the end of the job we were given all the paperwork. He has set us up on the system for next year so we needn’t worry about forgetting. Highly recommended.
